How do I treat Thrips?Updated a year ago

While thrips may be less common, they have a peculiar affinity for indoor tropical houseplants, making it crucial to be vigilant if you notice they might be present. To prevent their rapid spread, we recommend thoroughly examining new plants for pests before introducing them to your home's greenery. Thrips typically attack plants by puncturing the foliage, resulting in light discoloration on the leaves.

For effective treatment against these long-legged intruders, consider using insecticidal soap, blue sticky traps (as thrips are attracted to the color blue), or Thrips Predators for a natural solution. An alternative remedy involves creating a solution of soft yellow soap (20g per liter of water) with 10ml of alcohol. Regularly spray this solution over your plant several times a week until the pests vanish.
