What happens if my plant is returned to sender?Updated a month ago

At Plantsome, we do everything we can to ensure your green amigos arrive quickly and safely at your doorstep. However, if a courier is unable to deliver your package and leaves a slip for pickup at a local depot, it is the customer’s responsibility to collect the package within the courier's holding window (typically 5 to 10 business days).

If a package is returned to our greenhouse because it was unclaimed, the following policies apply:

  • Reshipping Fee: Because we have already paid for the initial postage, we do require a second shipping fee to cover the cost of printing a new label and resending the package.

  • Plant Health Check: Live plants do not enjoy spending extra time traveling in dark boxes! Once the returned plant arrives back at our facility, our intake team will assess its health. If the plant is still in healthy, shippable condition, we will happily reship it to you once the new shipping fee is paid.

  • Perished Plants: If a plant has perished or suffered irreversible damage during the long return journey due to being unclaimed, we cannot offer a free replacement. If you still want the plant, we can help you set up a new order.

  • Cancellations & Refunds: If you choose to cancel your order instead of paying the reshipping fee, we will issue a refund for the cost of the pot and accessories, minus the original shipping fee. Because live plants are highly perishable, we cannot refund the cost of the plant if it returns to us in unsellable condition.

To avoid this, we highly recommend keeping a close eye on your tracking number and picking up your green amigos as soon as possible if they are diverted to a local depot!

If your package has been returned to sender and you would like to arrange a reshipment, please reach out to our team at [email protected] with your order number.
